Halesowen continues to maintain high levels of performance in the delivery of AS/A Levels and vocational courses.
Vocational Results
Last year’s record number of students progressing to higher education increased once more, with over 500 National Diploma students (equivalent to 3 A Levels), following 18 vocational programmes attaining a 99.4% pass rate. An exceptional high grade profile of over 72% included 176 students achieving a triple distinction with a rating of 3 grade A’s at A level.
These extremely popular courses have grown by 20% in student numbers over the last year with very high progression rates to further study or successful careers. The following subjects all attained 100% pass rates:
On top of the National Diplomas nearly 300 first diploma students also achieved similar success rates with over 75% high grades. Introductory, foundation and NVQ courses equally achieved very impressive results.
A Level Results
Halesowen’s recognised position as a leading GCE A Level College in the region was once again endorsed with some 1100 examination entries. All students receive individual coaching in working towards their ambitions, including a unique Collegiate programme for more able and determined students. A record number of students aspire to progress to higher education in the year ahead.
Over 2100 AS entries gave students an excellent start to their 2 year A Level programmes.

We expect students to aim for 100% attendance and punctuality.
Personal tutors receive regular reports on attendance so problems can be discussed with the individual student and, where necessary, with parents.
